Week 1/27/20-1/29/20

SPANISH 2:

    • Homework due Monday, 2/3/20: 
      • Practice Direct Object Pronouns
        • For each sentence, find the direct object noun, underline it, then write the direct object pronoun that would replace it: (You need to know what the sentence means)
          • Yo tengo la camisa en mi casa.
          • ¿Necesitas el coche?
          • Escuchamos el radio.
          • Yo doy el libro a Maria.
          • ¿Ven ustedes a las muchachas?
          • El medico examina el pie.
          • Maria lea libros mucho.
          • Ellos beben su leche.
          • El estudiante necesita su calculadora.
          • Jugamos basquetbol cuando tengo tiempo. (pay attention!)
        • Now re-write the sentences above using direct object pronouns (correct placement) and make sure to pay attention to verb conjugations if they change when answering questions.
      • Now, translate each sentence to Spanish using a direct object pronoun for the nouns:
        • I do not watch the television.
        • You all study the maps.
        • We eat the vegetables.
        • My brother looks for me.
        • The teacher needs you.
      • Study: Vocabulary Chapters 5 & 6, clothing, body parts & animals from handout, Ch. 5 stem-changing verbs, gustar/interesar/aburrir, and direct object pronouns.
    • Homework due Wednesday, 1/29/20:

      • Write: the DIRECT OBJECT PRONOUN (me, te, lo/la, nos, los/las )for the following:
        • Ex: la raqueta de tenis = (la) 
          • los coches, tú, el baño, la hermana, yo, las nubes, Marco
        • Ex: Ellos miran la television = (la)
          • Ella visita a su hijo.
          • Sus padres cocinan la cena.
          • Yo como el arroz.

            • Study: Chapters 2 & 3, clothing, body parts & animals from handout, tener, possessive adjectives, ir/dar/estar, contractions (al & del) with the following prepositions as mentioned in class: BTW, some were on page 63 (yellow box)
              • delante de (in front of)
              • detrás de (behind)
              • alrededor de (around)
              • dentro de (inside)
              • fuera de (outside)
              • encima de (above)
              • debajo de (below)
              • cerca de (near)
              • lejos de (far).
