Homework October 29-November 5

Homework for ALL GRADES is the same.

QUIZ: MONDAY 11/3/14 on phrases and vocabulary for days of the week, months of the year, time, seasons, and weather. To study for the quiz, make sure to reference the handout your homework has been coming from. On the back of the page titled "Las estaciones y el tiempo", there is a half-page devoted to Vocabulary or "Vocabulario" (page 17) that has all of the vocabulary words you need to know for these sections listed on it.

Due Monday, 11/3/14:
  • Homework is to finish the worksheet pages on seasons and weather-pages 63, 85, 86, & 87.
Due Wednesday, 11/5/14:
  • You will receive a new handout titled "Writing About the Day". We will be working on writing paragraphs about time, date and seasons.
  • Homework is to finish the new worksheet pages practicing writing about time, date and seasons as was discussed in class.
Due Monday, 11/7/14:
  • We will be working in the previous handout where we left off with the seasons.
  • Homework is in the handout, NEW NUMBERING (number actual pages in handout front and back) PLEASE WRITE YOUR ANSWERS ON A SEPARATE SHEET OF PAPER.
    • page 12, #3 "Categoriza" Make a list of 3 each of physical appearance & personality characteristics using words from pages 9&10. MAKE SURE TO LABEL EACH LIST CORRECTLY. 
    • page 12, #4 "Personaliza" Answer the questions IN SPANISH IN COMPLETE SENTENCES. Remember you take part of the question to form the statement as done in class.
    • page 13, #10 " Personaliza" Answer the questions IN SPANISH IN COMPLETE SENTENCES. Use words and conversation on page 9 for help if needed.
    • page 13, #11 "Completa la conversacion" YOU DO NOT NEED TO RE-WRITE THE PARAGRAPH. JUST make sure to number the word with the corresponding blank in the paragraph. CONJUGATE the verb ser for the appropriate nouns/persons.
    • page 14, #16 "Completa" Make sure you CONJUGATE the verb ser for the appropriate nouns/persons.

Homework ALL grades:

  • You already have the homework that is due Monday 10/27/14.
  • We went over days of the week and months of the year a long time ago but you will want to review these.
Due Wednesday, 10/29/14:
  •  Review counting 1-20 and the words for 30, 40, and 50.
  • We will be learning to tell time. Homework will be to finish the worksheet practicing telling time.
Due Monday, 11/3/14:
  • We will be going over the seasons and weather. Homework will be to finish the worksheet on seasons and weather.
  • You will be responsible for the vocabulary for weather and seasons as per the handout.

New Handout: Read through and finish ALL sections.
                          Ignore any questions asking you to use the vosotros form.
 


(Note for 7th/8th/9th/10th Grades: there will be paper copies of the homework in Mrs. Lucky's room each class. Please make sure you check the wall in her room for these. The blog, however may occasionally have extra credit or other opportunities stated here so it is still to your benefit to check it regularly.)

ALL GRADES:

Memorize vocabulary words for each chapter we have gone through up to this point.

Grades 6-8: These are the bold print words throughout the chapters but mostly on the first 1-2 pages of each chapter.

Grades 9-10: These are the words at the ends of you chapters, paying particular attention to the meanings of the verbs.


We will be going through a handout I have for you beginning Wednesday for further practice on the major concepts we have discussed up to this point.

6th Grade Homework:


1. Complete ENTIRE worksheet on Leccion 3 to be turned in for a grade on Monday. (those of you who have already completed it are done with this one.)
2.  DO the Ejercicios on the following pages: Ej. 1 pg 38, Ej. 2 pg. 39, Ej. 5 pg. 40, Ej. 5 pg. 48.
3. MEMORIZE "ser" conjugation:

EXTRA CREDIT OPPORTUNITY 6TH GRADE:

You will be permitted to use up to 2 tickets for a total of 10 points toward your recent quiz grade to bring it up to a maximum of 110%.
 
For those of you who are wishing to obtain extra credit toward your recent quiz grade, you may complete the following by Wednesday, October 8 for a total of 25 extra points to be added on to your current quiz grade to bring it up to a maximum of 100%.
 
This means that if you scored a 60% on your quiz and complete ALL of the extra credit activities CORRECTLY, you can add 25 points to this making your new quiz grade an 85%. Then, if you have 2 tickets (worth 5 pts each) to add to your grade, you can bring it up further to a 95%.

After completing each quiz on the screen, print it with your answers on it and turn them ALL in. THIS ACTIVITY WILL BE WORTH 15 POINTS OF THE EXTRA CREDIT
