2/25/15 - 3/9/15

The vocabulary quiz on COLORS / PREPOSITIONS will take place on MONDAY, 3/2/15. These are the words we have had for weeks now with the snow days.

HOMEWORK:

DUE MONDAY, 3/2/15:
  • QUIZ: On COLORS / PREPOSITIONS for ALL STUDENTS, plus makeup quizzes for those I spoke with about it today in class.
  • WORKSHEET: Pages 64 & 65 - Los adjectivos posesivos (p. 64) & Practica (p.65). Directions were discussed in class with examples.
  • BEGIN STUDYING: The vocabulary words listed below on CLASS ACTIVITIES / THE ARTS. The quiz for these words will be on MONDAY, 3/9/15. As always, it will be matching, however you will also need to be able to write sentences as has been discussed in class and be able to conjugate the REGULAR "-AR" verbs in the list. 
  • IN CLASS ON MONDAY: We will review the new vocabulary words and will be working from our Textbook Handout pages 72 & 76-79.
DUE WEDNESDAY, 3/4/15:
  • STUDY FOR QUIZ: On CLASS ACTIVITIES / THE ARTS. You will also need to be able to write sentences as has been discussed in class and be able to conjugate the REGULAR "-AR" verbs in the list.
  • TEXTBOOK HANDOUT: 
    • Read the comic pg. 74 & answer the questions on Parts A & B on pg. 75. 
    • Fill in the blanks on Part 1 pg. 80 to complete the paragraph. This is reviewing vocabulary on FAMILY and you may refer to pages 58-59 for review if needed.
    • Fill in the blanks on Part 5 pg. 81 with the correct possessive adjective. To review possessive adjectives refer to pg. 70 if needed.
  • IN CLASS ON WEDNESDAY: We will review the vocabulary words and will be working from our Textbook Handout pages 80-82 & our NEW VERB WORKSHEET pages 28-31.

    • Fill in the blanks on Part 2 pg. 86. You will need to review the conjugations of TENER and SER. Tener is on pg. 66. Ser is: yo soy, tu eres, el/ella/ud es, nosotros/as somos, ellos/ellas/uds son.
    • Change the sentences from plural to singular on Part 3 pg. 86
  • VERBS HANDOUT:
    • Only do the specific questions listed. Others will be done in class.
      • Pg. 28--Ejercicio I-4-1
        • Questions 1, 3, 4, 5, & 8.
      • Pgs. 28-31--Ejercicio I-4-2:
        • Questions 2, 3, 4, 5, & 6.
      • Pg. 31--Ejercicio I-4-3:
        • Questions 6-10. Use numbers 1-5 and the examples above for help.
  • IN CLASS ON MONDAY: We will be working from our Textbook Handout pages 194-199 & will review the new vocabulary words for the week.

2/4/15-2/11/15

Vocabulary Quiz will be on Monday, 2/16/15.
The Quiz will be on the words in the box that were given on the last vocabulary sheet for "The House" - COLORS and WORDS FOR LOCATION (in front, behind, next to, around, etc...)
The Quiz will also have a section on forming sentences similar to what we have been doing in class. This will also involve CONJUGATION of TENER, so MAKE SURE TO MEMORIZE THIS VERB!!!

-Make sure you have COMPLETELY finished pages 59, 60, 56, & 61.
-Study the VOCABULAR WORDS, practice conjugating TENER, and practice writing COMPLETE SENTENCES both with questions and answers as we have been doing in class.

*WORKSHEET "LA FAMILIA Y LA CASA" 
1) Top of page 71, " Personaliza". Answer the 5 questions about yourself using the correct form of "tener".
2) "Te Toca a Ti!" page 69. Make up sentences using:
Each of the pronouns in the box on the left (Nosotros, Tu, Yo, Daniela, La casa, El jardin, Mis primos, Mi tia)
+ (conjugated) "tener" or "no tener" depending on the pronoun you are on
+  one of the endings from the box on the right.

Examples: Juan + tiene + un libro.
or              Juan + no tiene + un carro.
